Following the death of rapper King Von last week, Quando Rondo has been a hot topic of conversation on social media. Speculation suggests that he was present at the shooting, and videos obtained from public surveillance cameras allegedly show him there.
A rumour has now been circulating on Twitter that Quando Rondo has been shot dead too, however, this is all fake news. Quando Rondo isn’t dead, he’s just fallen victim to yet another social media celebrity death hoax.
WHO IS QUANDO RONDO?
Tyquian Terrel Bowman, better known by his stage name Quando Rondo is an American rapper, singer and songwriter.
The 21-year-old from Georgia first became famous after he released I Remember featuring Lil Baby in 2018.
He’s signed to Never Broke Again and Atlantic Records, and has released three mixtapes: Life B4 Fame, Life After Fame and Neighborhood to the Stage.
On Tuesday (November 10th), rumours started spreading online that Quando Rondo had been killed. However, Quando Rondo is not dead, and it is all just a social media hoax.
It all started started when an article from a website called Latest News South Africa went viral on Twitter, claiming that Quando Rondo was “shot in the head”.
The article said:
“A report received shortly has revealed that Police in Atlanta responded to 62 Harwell Rd NW, upon arrival, they located a male inside of a vehicle not alert not conscious and not breathing with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.”
It then revealed that the man “could have been the rapper Quando Rondo”.
However, the article is fake news, and Quando Rondo is not dead.
Nevertheless, many social media users instantly began believing the rumours, and speculation that he had died went viral on Twitter.
One Twitter user said: “So is Quando rondo really dead or it’s fake news?”
“Bro please tell me Quando Rondo not dead,” said another.
Eventually, the rumours were shut down when people started turning to Atlanta based news channel CBS 46 to try and find answers. When there appeared to be no coverage on the death, it became pretty obvious that it was fake news.
The Quando Rondo death hoax went viral following the death of King Von last week.
Chicago-based rapper King Von was killed in a shooting outside a nightclub in Atlanta, as reported by Sky News, and rumours suggest that Quando Rondo was present at the shooting.
The 26-year-old rapper who was signed to Lil Durk’s record label was approached by two men when he was leaving the Opium Nightclub to go to Monaco Hookah Lounge, which then escalated into gunfire.
Speculation suggests that Quando Rondo was allegedly at the shooting, and the group that approached King Von outside the nightclub are believed to allegedly be Quando Rondo’s friends.
Videos obtained from public surveillance cameras are being spread around social media that allegedly show Quando Rondo helping King Von get to the hospital after their alleged dispute.
Quando Rondo also posted a video to Instagram where he appeared to be helping somebody to the hospital. However, this has since been deleted and Quando Rondo has turned off his Instagram comments
